Welcome to our Mulberry House Physical Education & Sports programme! Our programme is designed to introduce our students to the world of sports and physical activity in a fun and engaging way. Our focus is fostering a positive and exciting relationship with physical education and sports in children while introducing our students to the fundamentals of 10 different sports: football, basketball, gymnastics, athletics, baseball (T-ball), cricket, rugby, hockey, tennis and golf.
A new sport is taught in three to four-week blocks, which is considered sufficient time to introduce and reinforce the concepts and motor patterns. By rotating the sport each month, we aim to expose children to a wide range of games and skills to help them discover and spark their interests and talents. Using professional and age-appropriate equipment, we ensure children learn real sports skills in a safe and engaging environment.
Alongside the physical objectives, our program aims to develop our student’s emotional, social and cognitive learning. These objectives include promoting teamwork and cooperation, instilling a positive attitude towards physical fitness and sportsmanship, problem-solving, patience and perseverance.
