International Schools Foundation (ISF)

One of the Strongest Bilingual Schools In Hong Kong

Established since 2000, The International Schools Foundation (ISF) is a through-train, full immersion bilingual Chinese and English school following the IB curriculum. As an independent non-profit school, they have a diverse body of international teaching staff who are native Putonghua and/or English speakers, and over 2000 primary and secondary school students. 

ISF has the most amount of Mandarin Chinese exposure out of all private schools in Hong Kong, with 70% Mandarin exposure to students from early years to Grade 5. The school aims to foster fluency in both languages and a deep appreciation of both cultures by upper secondary year.

Canadian International School of Hong Kong

Curriculum

Combines both the British and Hong Kong primary educational system, with a focus on British preparatory school experience. They also offer a Chinese language and culture curriculum.

Language of Instruction

The main medium of instruction is English, however, English and Chinese provision are balanced. Chinese is taught with the same number of lessons as English and Maths. For Chinese, Putonghua is used as the medium of instruction where children are taught simplified characters but have exposure to traditional characters through extra-curricular activities and additional reading.
